Description Conduct comprehensive evaluations for patients spanning pediatric to geriatric age groups utilizing standardized tests and observations. Create individualized treatment plans tailored to immediate and long-term communication, cognitive, and swallowing challenges. Implement targeted speech therapy sessions focusing on a variety of speech and language areas including fluency, voice, and swallowing disorders. Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of professionals including physical therapists, occupational therapists, nurses, physicians, and family members to ensure holistic care. Provide education to both patients and families to enhance progress beyond clinical settings. Engage in occasional inpatient evaluations and interventions as required, promoting seamless care throughout the recovery process. Maintain thorough and timely patient documentation in accordance with all relevant guidelines and regulations. Stay abreast of the latest advancements in speech-language pathology through ongoing education and collaboration with colleagues. Education A Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from a recognized institution. Completion of a Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if you have not yet obtained ASHA certification. Certifications State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist. ASHA's Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) is preferred. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification should be obtained within 30 days after your start date. Skills Expertise in evidence-based practices tailored for individuals of all ages, alongside a solid grasp of both developmental and acquired communication disorders. Exceptional interpersonal skills for effective communication with patients, families, and other healthcare professionals. Ability to tailor therapeutic interventions to culturally diverse and multilingual populations. Strong analytical thinking and decision-making skills.
