We are seeking a compassionate Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to provide supportive care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN) in a hospice setting. This part-time, PRN position offers flexible shifts including days, nights, and weekends, serving patients in a regional healthcare facility located in the Midwest. Essential Job Functions Maintain adequate levels of forms and supplies to ensure smooth operations. Observe and accurately document general patient conditions and report findings promptly. Assist patients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) across all age groups, including infants, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics. Perform physical tasks required by the role with reliability and consistency. Transcribe physician orders and complete all necessary forms and communications to implement care plans. Maintain patient charts in an organized manner during admission and discharge processes. Provide attentive and respectful care to patients, families, visitors, and healthcare team members. Communicate oral and written orders clearly and accurately. Help maintain a clean, safe, and functional work environment and equipment. Keep census and statistical reports up to date and maintain special needs lists. Adhere strictly to confidentiality policies and HIPAA regulations. Support orientation and mentoring of new staff members. Adapt to changes in workload or patient assignments as needed. Participate in required in-service training and staff meetings. Education and Experience High school diploma, GED, or equivalent preferred. Completion of an approved CNA course or equivalent education and/or experience. Current listing on the Iowa Nurse Aide Registry is required. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association. Completion of a Mandatory Reporter course at hire or within six months of employment. Ability to understand and use medical terminology effectively.
