Description Conduct thorough evaluations of patients spanning pediatric, adult, and geriatric age groups utilizing standardized assessments and careful observation. Create tailored treatment plans focusing on both short-term objectives and long-term communication, cognitive, or swallowing requirements. Deliver focused one-on-one speech therapy interventions, prioritizing communication, fluency, voice, and swallowing skills. Work in synergy with a variety of healthcare professionals, including physical therapists, occupational therapists, nurses, physicians, caregivers, and families, to ensure a unified care experience. Provide education for patients and families, fostering progress outside therapy sessions. Participate in occasional inpatient speech therapy assessments and interventions, ensuring seamless care throughout the patient journey. Maintain accurate documentation in accordance with state, federal, and organizational regulations. Commit to professional growth by staying informed of developments in the field and collaborating with peers. Education Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution. Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not yet ASHA-certified. Certifications Possession of a state license as a Speech Language Pathologist. Certificates of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA are preferred. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification must be obtained within 30 days of hire. Skills Expertise in evidence-based therapeutic practices across all age groups, paired with a solid understanding of both developmental and acquired speech, language, and swallowing disorders. Outstanding communication skills with patients, families, and multidisciplinary teams. Ability to customize therapy sessions to cater to various cultural and linguistic backgrounds.
