This entry-level position is vital for processing medical record requests with efficiency and accuracy. You will be instrumental in delivering outstanding customer satisfaction while upholding patient privacy, following company policies, and observing HIPAA regulations. Position Highlights Remote Role Full-Time: Monday-Friday 8:00am-4:30pm CST Manage a high volume of medical record requests promptly. Occasional communication with clients via phone. Utilize dual computer monitors for effective documentation across various platforms. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Word and Excel. Preferred Skills Understanding of HIPAA regulations and medical terminology. Familiarity with different EHR and billing systems. Experience dealing with subpoenas is an advantage. In This Role, You Will: Efficiently process patient health information requests adhering to company protocols. Safeguard confidential information consistently. Stay informed about company and facility software. Ensure compliance with the company's Code of Conduct. Report any operational challenges or changes in workload to your manager. Assist with various additional responsibilities as needed. Consistently apply medical privacy regulations with diligence. Effectively manage patient health records. Prepare new patient charts ensuring accurate record assembly. Create digital images of physical documentation. Respond to patient record requests for internal and external clients. Professionally handle incoming and outgoing calls. Assist walk-in patients as required. Contribute to administrative duties, including data entry and mail handling. Meet the productivity expectations set for the role. Schedule record pickups as necessary. Take on other responsibilities as assigned. What You Bring: High School Diploma or GED. Willingness to commute between locations as needed. Availability to work overtime during busy periods. Basic computer skills. Comfort with office equipment, including phones, faxes, and printers. Excellent verbal and written communication abilities. Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining accurate records. Proficiency in data entry. Able to work independently while adapting to changing priorities. Effective organization skills to manage multiple tasks at once. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced work environment. Bonus Points for: Experience in a healthcare setting. A background in production or metric-driven roles. In-person customer service experience. A knack for building strong client relationships. A willingness to share ideas for process improvement. The pay range for this position varies based on location, responsibilities, skills, and experience, with an estimated hourly rate of $15-$18.32 USD.
