Position Overview As a Registered Nurse in the Endoscopy unit, you will play a crucial role in providing exceptional care for patients undergoing endoscopic procedures. You will be responsible for planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care effectively within a fast-paced and supportive environment. Key Responsibilities: Conduct comprehensive assessments of all patients upon admission. Develop personalized care plans addressing individual patient needs and nursing diagnoses. Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure timely and effective patient care. Provide education and emotional support to patients and their families, enhancing their understanding and comfort. Administer treatments and manage equipment safely while adhering to hospital policies. Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care and responses. Facilitate staff development and support the training of new team members. Qualifications: Must possess a nursing diploma or degree from an accredited college or university. Licensed to practice as a nurse in the state of Tennessee. Minimum of one year of experience in medical/surgical nursing. BLS certification obtained within 90 days of hire and ACLS certification within 6 months. Ability to work independently and as part of a team, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability. Physical Requirements: Must be able to stand and work for up to 12 hours a day. Ability to lift and assist patients weighing up to 250 lbs with appropriate support.
