About the Role As a Freelance Infusion Nurse Specialist, you will deliver expert IV therapy and infusion services in skilled nursing and rehabilitation facilities. This role involves mobility, with visits scheduled based on facility needs. Our nurses operate autonomously, benefiting from mileage reimbursement and comprehensive clinical support. Key Responsibilities Administer IV medications and specialty infusions in skilled nursing and rehab facilities. Monitor patient responses and manage IV-related reactions according to established protocols. Maintain and access existing vascular devices (peripheral IVs, ports, PICCs - note that line placement is not required). Perform therapeutic injections (IM/SQ) as prescribed. Educate patients about their treatment plans and care expectations. Document treatments electronically and communicate updates to healthcare providers. Ideal Candidate Profile Current RN license. Minimum of 1 year experience in IV infusion or specialty infusion. Confident and comfortable working independently in field settings. Active BLS certification. Valid driver's license and a reliable personal vehicle. Proficient in using mobile devices for documentation and navigation. Schedule & Flexibility We offer PRN and part-time positions, with opportunities for: Part-time: 2+ shifts per week. PRN: Flexible scheduling as needed.
