Job Description

Join us as an Asset Protection Manager, where you will play a key role in safeguarding our retail and non-retail locations, including The Little Clinic, convenience stores, Fred Meyer Jewelry, and our Manufacturing and Logistics operations. You will be responsible for conducting both internal and external investigations, providing oversight to vendors and Asset Protection specialists, and performing shrink analysis and audits. Your contributions will aid in the development of effective shrink action plans. We prioritize creating a strong safety culture with a focus on personal safety and accident reduction. You will also interact with law enforcement and assist stores in carrying out asset protection strategies. Minimum Qualifications: 2+ years of experience in multi-store format retail asset protection management. Ability to multitask and manage various situations while working independently and paying attention to detail. Proficiency in Microsoft Office. Knowledge of security systems including CCTV and alarm systems. A high level of initiative, motivation, integrity, and the ability to maintain confidentiality. Experience supporting a diverse team of professionals in executing business-focused strategies. Strong presentation and communication skills, both oral and written. Good judgment and problem-solving abilities. Desired Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree. Loss Prevention Qualified/Certified (LPQ, LPC). Certified Protection Professional (CPP) or Certified Forensic Interviewer (CFI). Wicklander-Zulawski Certification. Experience partnering with district managers to implement shrink and safety plans. Keen awareness of operational shrink prevention programs and executing plans during store visits. Ability to conduct investigations and report findings to key stakeholders. Management of store security resources to ensure operational efficiency. Implementation and effectiveness of corporate asset protection-related programs. Engagement with law enforcement at all levels and representation in legal matters. Capability to conduct training and audits as required. Monitoring of security installations and compliance with company standards. Availability for on-call duties after hours and weekends to manage critical situations. Regular travel to stores to oversee asset protection initiatives. Supervision and performance management of direct reports. Leadership in district safety initiatives and support of overall safety strategies. Application of root cause analysis to reduce accidents for customers and associates. Collaboration with human resources to investigate workplace safety concerns. You must be able to perform the essential functions of this position with or without reasonable accommodation.
