Team Shift Lead Are you passionate about providing exceptional guest experiences? Join Tim Hortons as a Team Shift Lead and play a vital role in leading our team to success! In this operational role, you will oversee team activities during your shift to ensure outstanding service, product quality, cleanliness, and a positive work environment. People Management Lead by example, showcasing respect for every team member and guest. Support the recruitment and retention initiatives in partnership with the Restaurant Manager. Address urgent issues promptly during your shift. Provide clear, ongoing direction and support to team members. Create an exciting and engaging work atmosphere to motivate the team toward achieving goals. Train and mentor new team members using our training resources. Communicate team member performance updates (positive and negative) to management. Ensure optimal team coverage and step in during peak times to maintain service excellence. Hospitality Management Set the standard for guest service by prioritizing their needs. Engage with guests in a friendly and efficient manner. Handle guest complaints swiftly, transforming challenges into positive outcomes. Support company-wide incentive programs to boost team performance. Operations Management Understand and comply with all relevant legislation and Tim Hortons operational standards. Ensure proper merchandising and stocking of products and packaging. Supervise cash handling procedures during shifts. Maintain operational efficiency through effective team oversight. Uphold restaurant policies, including cash and food safety protocols. Stay informed on operational updates through company resources. Assist in driving sales and transactions during your shift. Complete required shift documentation to support operational success. Raise any issues or challenges to management for resolution. Health & Safety Adhere to occupational health and safety legislation. Follow safe work practices and procedures diligently. Use personal protective equipment as required. Report any incidents, unsafe conditions, or health and safety violations to management. Ensure compliance with health and safety policies throughout your shift. Physical Demands Requirements Frequent reaching and manual dexterity are essential. Strong capability to stand for extended periods on tiled surfaces. Ability to lift boxes and supplies safely, from 5 to 30 lbs. Experience with varying temperatures (cold storage and cooking equipment). Join us in making every guest’s visit special! Note: Must be 16 years of age or older.
