Controls Engineer | New Haven, Connecticut, United States Controls Engineer - North Haven, CT (Onsite) Compensation: $100,000-$130,000/year or $60-$70/hr About the Role Join a dynamic engineering team as a Controls Engineer, where you will design, program, and optimize cutting-edge automation systems to support advanced manufacturing operations. Responsibilities - Develop, program, and troubleshoot Allen-Bradley PLCs (Logix family) for complex automation systems - Design, configure, and maintain HMI/SCADA applications using FactoryTalk View - Integrate and support industrial networks (EtherNet/IP) and VFDs for seamless system operation - Interpret and utilize electrical, logic, and process & instrumentation diagrams to ensure accurate system implementation - Create and update CAD diagrams for electrical layouts and control systems - Provide technical documentation, reports, and clear communication to cross-functional teams - Deliver effective electrical and mechanical troubleshooting solutions to minimize downtime - Uphold engineering standards and collaborate effectively within multidisciplinary teams Required Skills and Experience - 7-10 years experience in PLC programming (Allen-Bradley Logix) - 7+ years in HMI/SCADA design (FactoryTalk View) - Proficiency with EtherNet/IP and VFDs - Strong troubleshooting abilities (electrical and mechanical) - CAD proficiency - Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical or Electronics Engineering - Excellent technical writing and communication skills Preferred Skills - Experience reading P&ID diagrams - Skills in low-voltage electrical design and layout Benefits - Competitive salary and hourly rate with potential for overtime - Career advancement within a high-tech, supportive team environment - Exposure to the latest automation technology and continuous professional development - Comprehensive benefits package available How to Apply Ready to engineer your next career move?
