Job Summary We are seeking a driven and detail-oriented Accounts Payable Manager to lead our comprehensive AP operations. In this pivotal role, you will ensure the precise and prompt processing of invoices, payments, and vendor communications in a dynamic environment. You will manage offshore partners, champion operational excellence, and uphold compliance with our internal policies, SOX controls, and SAP S/4HANA procedures. Close collaboration with Procurement, FP&A, Treasury, and various business stakeholders will be essential as you work to enhance efficiency, data integrity, and the experiences of both employees and vendors. Key Responsibilities Oversee the complete Accounts Payable process, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with internal policies. Manage the daily workload of the offshore team, focusing on performance evaluation, professional development, and SLAs adherence. Ensure all offshore resources strictly follow established SOPs, internal controls, and service standards. Lead and collaborate with the offshore accounting team to deliver high-quality financial services efficiently and punctually. Set clear performance expectations, provide guidance, and monitor outputs. Cultivate a continuous learning and development culture within the team. Oversee full-cycle AP processing including invoice intake, 3-way matching, approvals, exception handling, payments, and vendor inquiries. Ensure accurate processing within SAP S/4HANA, including PO-based and non-PO invoices, GR/IR resolution, and workflow management. Manage weekly payment cycles, including urgent payments, and ensure efficient batching of ACH/wire/check transactions. Collaborate with Procurement to address PO issues, blocked invoices, tax discrepancies, and master data concerns. Guarantee adherence to company policies, Delegation of Authority (DOA), and SOX controls. Develop and track key AP performance metrics including cycle time, % touchless processing, first-pass match rate, exception rates, and aging metrics. Design dashboards for enhanced transaction visibility and risk management. Coordinate vendor credit applications and respond to payment inquiries from various stakeholders. Implement process enhancements to improve efficiency and minimize risks. Ensure timely and accurate 1099 filings. Review non-PO expenditures for compliance with established guidelines. Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual account reconciliations as necessary. Perform additional duties as required. Qualifications Knowledge and Skills: Proven experience in establishing effective accounting policies within Accounts Payable. Strong communication and organizational skills are a must. A proactive mindset and openness to change. Experience engaging with senior-level clients and vendors; skilled in evaluating multifaceted situations while prioritizing stakeholder values. Understanding of essential financial and operational controls within the Pharmaceutical industry. Experience: Minimum of 5+ years of accounting experience, including strategic leadership. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; an advanced degree (MBA/MS) is preferred. 5+ years in progressively responsible accounting roles, including leadership. Proven ability to guide and influence an offshore team. Familiarity with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and advanced Excel skills. Proficient in SAP Ariba. Excellent analytical and problem-solving capabilities. Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and foster cross-functional collaboration. Salary range: $96,112.00 - $143,750.00 per year, with potential for incentives. This range reflects typical compensation for the position in the United States.
