Position Overview: The Payroll Specialists II position is responsible for obtaining information for payroll production and tax related issues, keep and maintain accurate records for Associate personnel files, and provide support to stores, Support Center and DC Associates. This position is also expected to handle, resolve and assist with questions, concerns and issues. Primary Responsibilities: Analyze, prepare, and input payroll data (entering new hire, audit and update job changes, and termination information) Maintain up to date information in the payroll system. Ensure all appropriate information is included and maintained in associate files. Ensure accuracy of data by comparing data entered with source documents. Review information accessed from time clocks for completeness and accuracy. Contact stores on a regular basis to assist with any discrepancies found in their paperwork or time clock reports. Process garnishments and child support orders. File employee paperwork. Create internal management reports as necessary. Time and attendance system maintenance and reporting. Train new payroll specialists on best practices. Complete any additional responsibilities and/or duties as assigned. Qualifications: High school diploma is required. Minimum of 3 years of payroll experience required. Ability to effectively communicate with all team members. Ability to comprehend and accurately complete all documentation. Ability to operate all equipment necessary to perform the job. Ability to complete assignments in the time allotted. Computer Skills (Microsoft Office) Customer Service Physical Requirements: Physical ability to sit for extended periods and work at a computer. Ability to see, hear, and speak regularly.
