Job Description Join us as a senior leader dedicated to enhancing our Global Physical Security (GPS) initiatives within a dynamic hyperscale environment. This crucial role requires collaboration with diverse teams, ensuring alignment in policies and processes while overseeing robust governance and documentation to support efficient, auditable, and scalable security operations in our hyperscale data centers. Responsibilities Provide leadership and governance for GPS, establishing a comprehensive framework that encompasses policies, standards, procedures, and controls. Manage and maintain the lifecycle of GPS physical security policies and procedures, including authorship, change management, approval workflows, and stakeholder communication. Promote consistency, audit readiness, and continuous improvement in our hyperscale physical security operations. Align GPS policies and processes with ISO 27001/27701, SOC 2, and PCI standards while adhering to applicable NIST Physical and Environmental (PE) controls. Collaborate with Compliance, Risk, Legal, Data Privacy, and Internal Audit to document evidence, control mapping, and corrective action plans. Lead internal assurance activities and contribute to external audits, tracking findings through to resolution. Work closely with teams in Data Center Operations, Engineering, Networking, Facilities, Cloud Security, HR, and Vendor Management to ensure cohesive policy adoption and operational alignment. Act as the primary resource for inquiries related to hyperscale physical security policies and escalations. Oversee a team of project managers and subject matter experts to effectively plan, prioritize, and implement hyperscale physical security initiatives. Develop standardized tracking mechanisms for initiative intake, scope, milestones, risks, dependencies, and metrics of success. Drive change management and facilitate effective communication regarding GPS hyperscale programs. Maintain thorough documentation including policies, standard operating procedures (SOPs), playbooks, diagrams, RACI charts, and runbooks. Create and share communications, status reports, and updates with leadership regarding GPS hyperscale efforts. Qualifications 10+ years of experience in physical security programs within data centers, hyperscale clouds, or critical infrastructure environments. 5+ years in cross-functional program leadership and policy governance, including experience with change management and documentation ownership. Proven track record of aligning with or auditing against ISO 27001/27701, SOC 2, PVC, and NIST PE controls, with a strong grasp of control frameworks and evidence management. Familiarity with managing or leading PMOs, with expertise in using project portfolio tracking tools and metrics. Exceptional stakeholder management capabilities and a strong ability to influence at an executive level. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, adept at translating complex technical and operational requirements into clear policies and procedures. A Bachelor's degree in security management, information systems, engineering, or a related field is required; an advanced degree or relevant certifications (CPP, PSP, CISSP, CISM, CISA, ISO 27001 Lead Implementer/Auditor, PMP) is preferred. The range and benefit information provided here are specific to the stated locations only. The US hiring range is from $139,400 to $291,800 per annum, with eligibility for bonus, equity, and compensation deferral.
