The University of Miami & Holtz Children's Hospital - Division of Pediatric Cardiology is seeking skilled candidates for the role of Pediatric Interventional Cardiologist. We are looking for passionate professionals who possess: Completed formal 4th year fellowship training in Pediatric Interventional Cardiology. Board certification or eligibility in Pediatric Cardiology. Current trainees are warmly encouraged to apply. The Pediatric Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory at the University of Miami performs approximately 200 cases annually, and features state-of-the-art capabilities including: VSD closures Premature PDA closures Transcatheter valve replacements for children A comprehensive range of hybrid interventions Standard transcatheter procedures Interventions in adult congenital patients, constituting about 20% of the total volume As the new hire, you will collaborate closely with Dr. Satinder Sandhu, the head of the cath lab, taking on responsibilities that include: Performing diagnostic and interventional catheterizations. Managing pediatric and adult congenital cases. We strongly encourage involvement in clinical, bench, or translational research. Additional duties will encompass: Providing care for general pediatric cardiology inpatients. Engaging in outpatient clinic activities. Serving a diverse population of around 1.3 million people in the heart of Miami, our expanding team of cardiologists is adept in various subspecialties: Electrophysiology Interventional cardiology Advanced imaging Fetal cardiology In addition to interventional responsibilities, the role entails participation in general cardiology outpatient clinics, inpatient service, consults, and occasional general cardiology call. A strong emphasis on teaching residents, medical students, and fellows is a defining aspect of this position.
