Senior Edge Network Engineer Join our innovative team as a Senior Edge Network Engineer, where you'll lead advanced edge, network, and cloud platform implementations. In this pivotal role, you'll serve as a technical leader and subject matter expert during onboarding, migrations, and new platform integrations. Your strong technical expertise, exceptional communication skills, and leadership abilities will be vital in meeting both technical challenges and customer expectations. This position is customer-facing and involves designing, implementing, and standardizing network configurations, focusing on routing protocols, switching, and security methodologies. As a key member of the Edge Network Engineering team, you will also function as a Tier 4 escalation point for our global support organization. Key Responsibilities: Lead customer deployments of edge computing infrastructure, cloud integrations, and SD-WAN platforms. Act as the primary technical contact for end-to-end implementation activities, including architecture planning, configuration, testing, and go-live support. Collaborate with project managers, systems engineers, and customer stakeholders to ensure alignment on design and timelines. Troubleshoot deployment issues across operating systems, hypervisors, containers, and networks. Create automation scripts and reusable tools to speed up and standardize deployments in line with our strategic goals. Document procedures, configurations, and lessons learned; contribute to internal knowledge bases for continuous improvement. Mentor junior engineers and engage in internal enablement and cross-functional collaboration. Participate in customer workshops to discuss implementation designs for large-scale or complex rollouts. Qualifications: Extensive experience in Linux system administration and troubleshooting. Proficiency with Type 1 and Type 2 hypervisors (e.g., KVM, VMware). Familiarity with containerization technologies; experience with lightweight Kubernetes distributions (e.g., K3s) preferred. Strong understanding of networking principles including routing, VLANs, firewalls, DNS, NAT, routing protocols, and proxies. Hands-on experience in configuring and managing both physical and virtual network interfaces. Prior experience with SD-WAN deployment and management; expertise with Versa SD-WAN is a significant advantage. Proficient in diagnostic tools such as tcpdump, Wireshark, iptables, netstat, and others. Experience with cloud service providers like Azure or AWS, including VM provisioning, datastore configuration, and SSO setup. Comfortable with REST APIs and automation/testing tools such as Postman, Swagger, curl, and Python scripts. Awareness of secure deployment principles; familiarity with TPM, encryption, and measured boot is a plus (training available). Knowledge of infrastructure automation tools like Ansible, Terraform, or Bash scripting. Experience with ITSM tools such as ServiceNow or Jira for project/change/incident management. Strong written and verbal communication skills to effectively document issues and collaborate across teams. Preferred Background: 5+ years in edge infrastructure deployment, implementation engineering, or a related technical field. Experience with edge orchestration platforms (e.g., Zededa, Azure IoT Edge, AWS Greengrass). Knowledge of zero-touch provisioning, telemetry pipelines, or site/network architecture at the edge is a plus. Why Join Us?
