Description: As an Occupational Therapist Specialist, you will be a vital member of an interdisciplinary team dedicated to providing rehabilitative care to patients of all ages who face challenges in completing daily activities. Your role involves using your assessment and clinical skills to collaborate effectively with physicians and other professionals to deliver optimal patient care. Whether in acute care, rehab, or sub-acute settings, you will help patients who are unable to return home due to injury or illness, requiring intensive therapy. Duties and Responsibilities: Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to create tailored care plans based on physician orders. Assess patient needs, develop treatment strategies, evaluate outcomes, and adjust care as necessary to achieve therapy goals. Administer treatments through established procedures, techniques, and modalities. Offer recommendations and referrals to clients and their families, guiding them to relevant health, educational, and vocational resources. Document evaluations, progress notes, care plans, and discharge summaries in compliance with established standards. Lead educational initiatives for clients, their families, and other healthcare professionals. Fulfill other relevant tasks and responsibilities as required. Required Qualifications: A minimum of one year of experience in the field. Current State Licensure in Occupational Therapy. Valid CPR Certification. Preferred: Certification through the American Occupational Therapy Certification Board. Additional qualifications may apply based on assignment.
