Discover more about what makes Target special. ABOUT ASSETS PROTECTION The Assets Protection team plays a crucial role in safeguarding our guests, team, and brand. Our efforts focus on mitigating risks, preventing theft and fraud, and ensuring our products are available for customers. We also foster partnerships with store leaders and public safety officials, including law enforcement. THE BENEFITS OF BEING A TARGET SECURITY SPECIALIST Develop skills in using intelligence-led tactics to ensure safety for guests and team members Gain experience in crisis response and safety management Learn de-escalation techniques and understand security best practices Become proficient in using Target's video surveillance systems Document security incidents efficiently using case management systems AS A SECURITY SPECIALIST, YOUR DAY-TO-DAY WILL INCLUDE: Creating a welcoming environment by greeting guests at the entrance Establishing a physical security culture by maintaining safe standards within the store Responding to and documenting security incidents promptly Addressing guest issues to maintain a secure shopping environment Using de-escalation tactics when addressing security challenges Conducting merchandise theft recoveries in line with AP policies Performing merchandise receipt checks to prevent theft at the store front Submitting proper documentation for all incidents in compliance with AP policies Understanding and utilizing Target's video surveillance system effectively Promoting a culture of ethical conduct and safety compliance Working in compliance with safety policies and reporting hazards Other duties as needed based on business operations ARE YOU A GOOD FIT?
