Senior Project Manager - Aviation Engineering

Work Location: Nashville, TN Salary: Based on experience and will be discussed with manager in interview Accura Engineering is seeking a talented and experienced Senior Project Manager to lead our Aviation program in Nashville, TN. In this pivotal role, you will oversee the planning, directing, and monitoring of complex multi-discipline airport projects, ensuring successful outcomes and effective management of project teams. Duties/Responsibilities: Lead the successful development and implementation of multiple concurrent airside and landside Capital Projects at international airport facilities as part of our construction and program management team. Collaborate with consultants, airport staff, and stakeholders to achieve project goals for each assigned initiative. Manage staffing and workload through project development to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget. Review plans, develop cost estimates and projections, schedule and conduct design progress meetings, and prepare necessary records for federal or state reimbursements. Ensure construction contracts comply with applicable federal and state equal opportunity legislation. Coordinate activities with outside agencies to guarantee timely completion of all projects; compile and analyze technical data and prepare project-related reports. Oversee Quality Assurance Reviews, implement QA/QC procedures, and conduct training for team members. Monitor safety compliance and oversee contractor safety. Administer project closeout processes. Supervise project staff while providing mentorship to less experienced members. Education/Experience: Bachelor's degree in Engineering. PE license is required. PMP certification is preferred. 10-15 years of aviation-related engineering or construction management experience, including airport master planning and project management. A minimum of 5 years managing aviation design projects. Experience in designing and managing aviation projects, including developing plans, specifications, and estimates for airport agencies and private clients. Familiarity with FAA design standards, procedures, and policies. Proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, MicroStation, MS Office, and MS Project is preferred. Strong business development and strategic planning skills are advantageous. Excellent communication, leadership, planning, and mentoring skills are essential. Knowledge of the aviation market in Nashville, including client relationships and past project experience, is preferred. A commitment to our employee-owned culture is a must.
