Role Summary The Director of Transformation is an accounting-led transformation role designed for a senior accounting professional ready to expand beyond the close and into enterprise leadership, together with the CFO and Controller. The role focuses on improving the quality, speed, and scalability of financial processes, while leading cross-functional initiatives that support growth and acquisitions. Key Responsibilities Accounting & Close Transformation (Core Focus) Lead initiatives to partner with the Controller and accelerate the month-end close across the growing organization Standardize accounting policies, chart of accounts, and reporting across entities Improve accruals, inventory accounting, rebates, margin visibility, and working capital accuracy Partner with the CFO to assist in management reporting and automation Systems & Process Ownership Serve as business owner for finance and accounting system enhancements Ensure systems and workflows properly support GAAP accounting and controls Drive adoption, training, and accountability for new processes M&A Integration Lead accounting and finance integration for acquisitions Own post-close accounting, reporting, and control integration (30/60/90-day plans) Support system, policy, and process alignment across acquired entities Enterprise Transformation & Leadership Manage a portfolio of transformation initiatives with clear outcomes and timelines Work cross-functionally with Operations, Supply Chain, IT, and HR Qualifications Required 8-15+ years of progressive accounting experience Strong technical accounting and close management background Deep understanding of ERP-based accounting workflows Experience leading cross-functional initiatives High ownership mindset and attention to detail Preferred Prior Controller, Assistant Controller, or Accounting Manager experience Public accounting background Experience in multi-entity or acquisitive environments
