Our client, a leading energy manufacturing organization, is seeking a Supplier Quality Engineer to join their team. This role supports an aeroderivative gas turbine overhaul and repair shop, focusing on product and process qualification, supplier quality, and continuous improvement initiatives. As a Supplier Quality Engineer, you will be part of the Quality Department supporting Manufacturing, Engineering, Sourcing, and Field Operations teams. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, effective cross-functional communication abilities, and a proactive problem-solving mindset which will align successfully in the organization. Job Title: Supplier Quality Engineer Location: Houston (Jacintoport), TX Pay Range: $48-$52/hrCompetitive / Based on Experience Location: Houston, TX - Jacintoport (Onsite) There is potential for the role to become hybrid in the future; however, the selected candidate must be local and/or able to report onsite to the Jacintoport location in Houston. Travel to this site will be required. Work Schedule: Must be able to work core business hours with flexibility as needed. Position Overview This role supports an aeroderivative gas turbine overhaul and repair shop, focusing on product and process qualification, supplier quality, and continuous improvement initiatives. Key Responsibilities Product & Process Qualification Define and execute product and process qualifications following Gas Power Qualification requirements for fabrications and complex assemblies to ensure readiness for serial production. Review and approve Manufacturing Process Plans (MPP), Product and Process Quality Plans (PQP), control plans, and inspection plans for assigned components. Ensure CTQ (critical-to-quality), customer, and regulatory requirements are accurately translated into supplier process controls and inspection methods. Validate first article inspection (FAI) and ongoing product verification; monitor process capability and drive corrective actions when performance targets are not met. Deviation & Nonconformance Management Manage and approve Supplier Deviation Requests (SDRs), ensuring risks are properly assessed, documented, and controlled. Evaluate and disposition supplier nonconformances in coordination with Engineering, Manufacturing, Sourcing, and Field teams. Lead containment, rework, and recovery actions at supplier facilities, assembly sites, and wind farm sites; ensure effective closure and documentation. Continuous Improvement & COPQ Reduction Lead root cause analysis (RCA) and FMEA (design and process) efforts with suppliers to implement corrective and preventive actions. Conduct quality system, product, and process audits at supplier sites.
