Position Summary: The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) is vital in supporting the Resident Services Director by delivering nursing services within our community. Candidates must possess a valid LPN license in the State of Connecticut. Primary Responsibilities: Administer medications. Provide hands-on care and services to residents. Engage in health education and wellness counseling. Promote resident health and wellbeing. Assist in assessments under the supervision of the Resident Services Director (RN). Support residents and their families. Supervise Certified Nursing Assistants. Train staff and monitor care quality. Complete monthly in-service training as required. Qualifications: Active Licensed Practical Nurse license in Connecticut. Minimum of two years of relevant clinical experience. Experience or a keen interest in working with older adults. Prior experience with dementia and psychiatric care is a plus but not mandatory. Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting up to 50 lbs. Strong interpersonal skills to cultivate positive relationships with residents, families, and team members. Must be in good physical and emotional health and free from communicable diseases. Education Required: Completion of technical or other nursing training.
