Terms of Employment: Responsible to the Assistant Principal of Student Services Location: Upper or Freshman Campus Daily Schedule: 7:00 am - 3:30 pm (may vary based upon the needs of the department) Hours Per Day: 8 hours per day, including a 15-minute paid break Unpaid meal break: 30-minute Hourly Rate: $29.13 Benefits: Not eligible for medical benefits or paid leave. Minimum Qualifications: Current Illinois Registered Nurse credentials Strong computer skills Must be detail-oriented with excellent oral and written communication skills Excellent time management skills Ability to work efficiently under minimum supervision Must respect the confidentiality of sensitive information Must possess the physical strength to occasionally assist in lifing students. Must be able to bend and perform CPR as needed. Responsibilities / Duties: Must perform all responsibilities in a professional manner consistent with district policy and practices Accurately store and dispense medication Consult with teachers, parents, and team members Notify parents and building administrators regarding students who are severely ill or injured Provide first aid to students and staff as needed Assume authority to provide emergency care for ill and injured students on school premises until emergency personnel arrive, under the supervision of the building administration Other relevant duties as assigned Physical Requirements Requires the ability to sit and/or stand for prolonged periods of time. Ability to move freely and perform duties in numerous locations throughout the day (involving the ability to stoop, bend, and reach as needed). Ability to occasionally move, lift, carry, pull, or push heavy objects or materials. Exposure to noise and activity of a school setting and as needed in noisy and crowded environments.
