The EHS and Facilities Manager will ensure our site meets all Environmental, Health, Safety (EHS), Security, and Facilities requirements. You will play a pivotal role at GE Aerospace's Additive Technology Center in West Chester, Ohio, leading EHS initiatives and overseeing facility operations. As a key member of the site leadership team, you will drive safety initiatives and lead root cause investigations and corrective actions. Key Responsibilities: Lead and manage Environmental, Health, and Safety programs to ensure compliance with all regulatory and business standards, focusing on injury prevention. Lead a dedicated team of EHS and Facilities professionals to create and integrate effective EHS programs and facility initiatives in a growing manufacturing environment. Oversee training, inspections, and interaction with customers regarding planning and job execution. Develop and communicate EHS goals for the facility, and play a key role in approving and implementing policies and procedures impacting EHS and Security. Identify employee EHS training needs and select appropriate training resources. Annually evaluate the EHS and Security Framework Work Plan Elements, serving as an element owner where applicable. Ensure compliance with all regulatory agencies, including OSHA and EPA. Align facilities operations with production plans and key performance indicators (KPIs). Oversee facilities projects to ensure strategic alignment with operational goals. Utilize FLIGHT DECK fundamentals to deliver outstanding results within the team. Optimize facilities inventory and initiate process improvements. Maintain responsibility for site security. Inspire your team to achieve site goals through innovative and actionable strategies. Effectively communicate complex concepts transparently, guiding others to view topics from diverse perspectives. Consult on shop floor lean initiatives that enhance the safety and security of employees. Collaborate globally and horizontally with site leadership and the Value Stream EHS team to manage compliance and promote a proactive EHS culture. Required Qualifications: Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university, or a high school diploma/GED with a minimum of 4 years of EHS, Manufacturing, or Operations Leadership experience. At least 5 additional years of relevant experience in EHS, Manufacturing, or Operations Leadership. Desired Qualifications: Previous experience in Environmental, Health, and Safety roles. A minimum of 2 years in supply chain operations. Knowledge of metal powders and their associated risks, particularly in 3D printing. Experience with combustible dust management. Familiarity with Environmental, Exposure & Fire risks or Facilities Management. Experience in developing cross-training plans and ensuring sufficient team coverage. Proven track record of leading customer meetings. Demonstrates humility: respectful, receptive, and eager to learn. Practices transparency: shares vital information and contributes positively to discussions. Focused and strategic in prioritizing work; a quick learner. Exhibits leadership skills: communicates effectively, makes decisive choices, and collaborates well. Adept at problem-solving: analytical thinker who challenges existing processes.
