Description Conduct thorough evaluations of patients that encompass pediatric, adult, and geriatric demographics, utilizing both standardized assessments and observational methodologies. Create individualized treatment strategies that cater to both immediate needs and long-term goals related to communication, cognition, and swallowing. Deliver focused, one-on-one speech therapy aimed at improving communication, language skills, fluency, voice modulation, and swallowing abilities. Collaborate with physical and occupational therapists, nursing staff, physicians, caregivers, and family members to develop a unified approach to patient care. Provide education to patients and families to support continued progress outside therapy sessions. Participate in inpatient speech therapy assessments and interventions when necessary, ensuring seamless continuity of care throughout the patient's rehabilitation process. Ensure documentation is timely and precise, in compliance with all relevant state, federal, and organizational protocols. Engage in ongoing professional development to stay abreast of the latest advancements in the field through educational workshops and peer consulting. Education Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution. Completion of a Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY), if not yet ASHA-certified. Certifications State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist. Certification of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA is preferred. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is mandatory within 30 days of starting employment. Skills Expertise in applying evidence-based treatment techniques to a diverse age range, along with a robust understanding of both developmental and acquired speech, language, and swallowing disorders. Exceptional interpersonal skills to foster meaningful communication with patients, their families, and interdisciplinary teams. Capacity to modify therapy methods to respect and embrace various cultural and linguistic backgrounds. Strong clinical reasoning and adept problem-solving capabilities.
