Job Description & Requirements Specialty: Telemetry Discipline: RN Start Date: 03/23/2026 Duration: 13 weeks 36 hours per week Shift: 12 hours, days Employment Type: Travel Opportunity: RN - Med Surg Tele Job Details: Work in medical surgical telemetry unit serving as overflow unit, post-surgical, and observation care Patient ratio of 1:5-6 during days, nights, and weekends Unit is transitioning to team nursing model with LPN support On-call availability required as needed Weekend shifts required as needed Must work 2 of 3 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year's) if they fall during assignment Required certifications: BLS, NIHSS Essential skills: Telemetry monitoring, IV start 2 years recent medical surgical experience required (3 years preferred) One year of travel experience required First-time travelers not accepted Cerner charting system experience preferred Flu vaccine required with no exemptions Care for adult and geriatric patients with medical oncology, GYN surgery, and general med-surg diagnoses Daily census of 42 patients in 42-room/42-bed unit Interdisciplinary support includes physical therapy, respiratory services, pharmacy, and rapid response teams May float between like units and campuses within 20 miles Facility: This healthcare facility operates a comprehensive medical surgical telemetry unit that provides specialized care for patients requiring continuous cardiac monitoring and post-surgical observation.
