Hiring for an HR Generalist in West Hartford! Job Description We are seeking an experienced HR Generalist to provide comprehensive support at our West Hartford, CT location. In this role, you will report directly to the Senior HR Manager and play a critical part in facilitating HR functions and ensuring regulatory compliance. Responsibilities Assist with daily inquiries from employees. Support employee benefit administration and enrollment questions. Conduct new employee orientations. Engage in recruiting activities including sourcing, scheduling interviews, and ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements. Manage the onsite summer internship program, including scheduling events and facilitating activities. Prepare and distribute the weekly newsletter. Coordinate baby gifts or sympathy arrangements when notified by managers for their employees. Process monthly service awards. Assist with and/or conduct the Union 2nd Step grievance process. Post union job openings on job boards. Conduct exit interviews. Manage the employee rewards and recognition program. Ensure compliance with federal and state regulations concerning employment. Maintain employee personnel and benefit files, including electronic records. Create and analyze reports, and perform various analytical tasks as assigned. Essential Skills 3+ years of relevant experience in human resources. Knowledge of State and Federal employment laws. Ability to maintain the highly confidential nature of HR issues and communications. Experience with HRIS systems and payroll functions. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Proven ability to build collaborative relationships and influence positively. Strong analytical and organizational skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Additional Skills & Qualifications Associate or bachelor's degree in Human Resources or a related field preferred. Labor relations experience. A positive attitude and proactive approach to problem solving. Ability to interact professionally with internal and external customers. Work Environment This position is based onsite in West Hartford, CT, where you will be part of a dynamic team in a recognized aerospace company. The role requires the ability to maintain a professional image and work collaboratively in a supportive environment. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of West Hartford, CT. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $35.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment. Benefits are subject to change and may be subject to specific elections, plan, or program terms.
