What you'll do as a Behavior Technician: Work one-on-one with children with autism in one of our centers or a home-based setting. Reinforce positive behavior utilizing therapeutic techniques learned in our industry leading training program! Track client progress and growth by keeping electronic health data on your company-provided iPad. What ACES offers: Competitive compensation and benefit plans. Schedule & Hours This is a part-time position, starting at approximately 15 hours per week, with the opportunity to build additional hours over time based on the schedule selected and business needs. Available schedule options include: Monday-Friday, 8:00am-8:00pm + Saturday 9:00am-2:00pm Opportunity to work 15-25 hours/week Monday-Friday 2pm-7pm + Saturday 9am-2pm Opportunity to build up to 20 hours per week Monday, Wednesday, Friday 2pm-7pm + Saturday 9am-2pm Opportunity to work 15+ hours per week What We're Looking For Patience, empathy, and a passion for helping children Strong communication skills with both children and caregivers Sound judgment in dynamic situations A desire for a meaningful, hands-on career Experience in childcare-related roles is a plus! Many of our successful team members have backgrounds as camp counselors, nannies, preschool teachers, paraprofessionals, teacher's aides, or childcare volunteers - but all applicants are welcome. What You'll Need High school diploma or GED A passion for supporting children and families impacted by autism Comfort using tablet-based technology Reliable transportation (to travel to centers, schools, or client homes as needed) Valid driver's license (military and college students may be exempt) Active car insurance Flexibility to work during times most needed by families Commitment to completing our paid virtual training program, culminating in RBT certification Training Schedule Options: Monday-Friday, 9:00am-5:30pm (4 weeks) Monday-Friday, 9:00am-1:00pm (6-7 weeks) Monday-Friday, 2:00pm-6:00pm (6-7 weeks) Physical Requirements: Direct work with clients may include, without limitation, the following physical demands: sitting, kneeling, squatting, running, twisting and turning, reaching above shoulders and/or frequent physical transitions. The pay scale provided is the hourly wage range ACES reasonably expects to pay for clinical work (i.e., direct treatment services) performed by team members in the position.
