Substance Abuse Counselor (CADC-I / CADC / LCAS / LCAS-A)Location: Asheville, NC Pay: $21.50 - $23 CADC/ 53k - 57k LCAS or Dual Licensed (based on certification and experience) Schedule: Full-Time | Monday-Friday | 5:00 AM - 1:00 PM Why This Role Matters Pyramid Healthcare in Asheville is seeking a Substance Abuse Counselor to support individuals in early recovery through structured, evidence-based treatment. This role is ideal for counselors who value consistency, teamwork, and a predictable weekday schedule while making a meaningful impact in substance use treatment. What You'll Do Provide individual, group, and family substance use counseling Conduct behavioral assessments and contribute to individualized treatment plans Complete timely, accurate clinical documentation in the electronic health record Support aftercare planning and coordinate with external providers Assist with crisis intervention and de-escalation as needed Participate in team meetings, trainings, and clinical collaboration Help maintain a safe, structured, and therapeutic treatment environment What You'll Need Active NC credential (required): CADC-I or CADC LCAS or LCAS-A Education pathways accepted: High School Diploma or Associate's Degree with CADC-I or CADC Bachelor's or Master's degree in a human services field with LCAS-A or LCAS Commitment to working with individuals experiencing substance use and co-occurring disorders Strong communication, documentation, and teamwork skills Experience with trauma-informed care or mental health treatment preferred Why Join Pyramid Healthcare - Asheville?
