Assistant Controller, Alternative Energy Startup

Kforce's client, an Alternative Energy startup (Series B) headquartered in Hoboken NJ, is seeking its first in-house Accounting Senior Manager/Assistant Controller. So, this is the rare startup that can offer you both stability and growth. Over the next few years, they will need you to bring accounting and reporting in-house. You will lead this effort and put your stamp on the accounting department and this company.Duties will include: Month end close General ledger Account analysis and reconciliation Budget and variance analysis Management of treasury Support audits Improve accounting processes by taking automation to next level Financial reporting Financial statement preparation Bachelor's degree in Accounting Master's degree a plus CPA a plus Over 6 years of experience Experience, as an accountant or an auditor, with the Alternative Energy, Solar, and/or Wind Industries Experience as a Manager Multi entity accounting experience a plus Cost accounting a plus The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future. We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law.
