Job Description: Industry: Manufacturing & Production Job Category: Engineering - Mechanical The company's FFD Fluid Filtration Division is currently seeking a Mechanical Test Engineer. This role is based out of our Chanhassen, MN facility in our lab. We are looking for someone with a strong mechanical aptitude, that is interested in supporting our test lab. The expected annual salary range for this role is $77249.97 - $113299.96 a year. This position is also eligible for a variable incentive program. Please note the salary information shown above is a general guideline only. Salaries are based upon candidate skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations. What you'll do: Overall management of test lab (flow and industrial fluid sampling) and direct execution of test plans for Industrial Filtration products. A strong mechanical aptitude is required for success! In this role you will: Establish, maintain, and communicate lab testing schedule to stakeholders. Design product testing plans in coordination with the relevant design engineers to validate performance of existing and new filtration systems. Execute established test plans directly, both flow testing and industrial fluid sampling testing (microscopy, TSS, turbidity, moisture analysis, particle analysis, etc.) Analyze test data to create project laboratory reports within the guidelines of the company's Filtration SOPs. Communicate lab project results to internal and external customers as needed to support projects. Prepare and communicate monthly laboratory performance metrics. Maintain laboratory cleanliness in accordance with Laboratory 5S and SOP requirements. Troubleshoot and maintain laboratory equipment (including calibration requirements) to ensure quality of measurements and analysis. Develop, maintain, and troubleshoot data acquisition equipment. Ensure compliance of Chanhassen site to the company's environmental, health and safety initiatives and requirements through implementation of the MESH policies and procedures. Manage capital/non-capital lab improvement projects. Basic (Required) Qualifications: Minimum of one (1) year of experience in lab testing, field service, or maintenance in an industrial environment, including co-op or internship experience. Mechanical and electrical aptitude and ability to use hand and power tools. Must be able to work in the United States without corporate sponsorship now and within the future. No relocation is offered for this position. Only candidates who reside within a 50-mile radius of the Chanhassen, MN facility will be considered. Preferred Qualifications: 5+ years of experience in lab testing, field service, or maintenance in an industrial environment Knowledge and experience in test plan development and execution Experience with laboratory equipment troubleshooting, calibration, and safety. Mechanical and electrical aptitude and ability to use hand and power tools. Strong analytical skills and technical reporting ability Experience with LabView DAQ systems.
