Wakefield Drive Newark, Delaware 19714 United States New Castle,Map (Primary PurposePRIMARY PURPOSE OF POSITIONLead the planning, coordination and development of strategies focused on internal and external workforce development initiatives. Position involves leading a high-performance team focused on establishing strategies for diverse candidates and those from under-resourced communities to access opportunities for employment in PEPCO and the Energy industry, creating methods that eliminate barriers to entry into PEPCO working with Talent Acquisition, internal operating departments, equity workstreams and external stakeholders. Create STEM Education pipeline programs that explore career paths for students. Engage external stakeholders with opportunities to partner and collaborate on workforce initiatives. Establish strong working relationships with Communications, Corporate Relations teams and others to create strategic messaging, storytelling that promotes the PHI Workforce Development programs, success testimonials and establishment of tools to support the outreach and education of its mission with stakeholders, customers and residents. Serve as a face of PHI Workforce Development in the external service region with community groups, media, government officials, employer/contractors, economic development leads, educators and non-profit organizations as a way of demonstrating thought leadership and guidance in the corporate workforce development discussion. Oversee the identification and tracking of various metrics and budget established to provide reporting, demonstrated areas of success and to meet established goals. Lead the interfacing and coordination of outcomes with Exelon peer groups.Primary DutiesPRIMARY DUTIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES Develop and manage Stakeholder outreach strategy related to key initiatives aligned to the company's strategic priorities. Lead a team to build alliances with community groups, municipalities and external stakeholders to further critical initiatives. Develop a strong understanding of the company's overall visions, goals and initiatives. (25%) Manage strategic projects and serve as a primary resource to other areas of the company by: (1) coordinating and strategizing on policy and presentation of the company's position, (2) by participating in briefings with Stakeholders and (3) coordinating and aligning with other business units for the purposes of monitoring businessactivities in order to anticipate and develop outreach and funding strategies. (20%) Attend Key stakeholder meetings and report relevant information to the areas of the company affected by the discussion. Monitor all relevant filings and other documents. (15%) Tracking and obtaining feedback from External Stakeholder outreach. Develop strategies for measuring and evaluating program outcomes. Develop and monitor metrics to measure program effectiveness (15%) Serve as a key point-of-contact for Exelon Workforce Initiative interface to develop and integrate planning and strategies; and direct teams and efficiently allocate cross-functional resources (15%) Perform and participate in analyses of stakeholder related issues affecting the company (10%) Job ScopeJOB SCOPE Engage external stakeholders with opportunities to partner and collaborate on workforce initiatives. Must work independently and be sensitive to issues of importance to the Company, the key stakeholders, customers and the electric industry. Minimum QualificationsMINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS BS or BA degree required. 10+ years relevant experience with a minimum of five years working for a utility or in a regulated environment closely aligned with the utility business. Highly effective interpersonal skills and the ability to easily work with people both inside and outside of the company. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Ability to provide direction, advice, and guidance on all regulatory matters pertinent to other areas of the company. Basic knowledge and understanding of the electric utility industry and current issues relevant to it. Extensive knowledge of the company, and an understanding of corporate and regulatory strategy. Broad understanding of Company strategy and business practices, the workings of the retail electricity markets as well as the federal and PA regulatory policies. Strong leadership skills to provide functional direction, guidance, and support to direct reports and peers. Strong working knowledge of PC skills. Requires overnight travel about once a month.
