Please Note: This position is contingent upon awardJOB OVERVIEW MartinFed has opening for a Software Engineer SME to support software maintenance and Department of Defense (DoD) systems across a variety of mission-critical environments. In this role you will provide technical expertise in software maintenance, testing and evaluation, documentation, information assurance, requirements management, and systems engineering disciplines. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Provide functional and technical subject matter expertise Support systems and operational requirements development and analysis Perform data analysis related to personnel and manpower systems, data flows, and interfaces Support test and evaluation activities to ensure system functionality and performance Develop and deliver training support for system users and stakeholders Provide guidance on DoD systems, data flows, interfaces, and underlying data structures Collaborate with government and contractor teams to support mission objectives Serve as a technical advisor and recognized expert to leadership and stakeholders QUALIFICATIONS Technical training in functional and/or technical support Fifteen (15) years of hands-on experience Experience in at least three (3) of the following areas: Systems Requirements Operational Requirements Data Analysis Test & Evaluation Training Recognized expert with demonstrated industry and/or public service leadership (federal, state, or local) in: DoD systems Data flows Interfaces Underlying data Active Secret Security Clearance DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS Prior experience supporting DoD or federal systems Familiarity with C4ISR environments Experience working in classified or secure environments Strong understanding of systems engineering lifecycle processes Ability to work independently and as part of an integrated team PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS & ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS Work must be performed on-site Working on a computer for long periods of time. May involve long period of sitting at a desk. The work environment is fast-paced and sometimes involves extreme deadline pressures.
