IV Pharmacist- Per Diem

Responsibilities: Evaluation of IV equipment and compatibilityExperience with neonatal Total Parenteral Nutrition (TPNs)Conduct high quality checks for adverse reactions and interactionsEvaluate medication orders for appropriateness of drug, dosage, potential interactions, and proper administrationEnsure dispense medicines are correctly supplied and labeledMake recommendation for therapy dosages to the physician and client facilities staff, if necessaryMaintain customers database to include medical history, clinical, laboratory data, etc.Investigate and resolve medication-related queriesCommunicate with facilities nursing staff, physicians, and other healthcare team members regarding medication-related querySupervise the preparation of any medicinesMaintain register of controlled drugs for legal and stock control purposesMaintain proper security conditions for medicationsPerform on-call duties when required Qualifications: Licensed Pharmacist in the State of FloridaLong Term Care experiencepreferredPrevious experience in Hospital and Retail pharmacy or other medical fieldsStrong analytical and critical thinking skillsExcellent written and verbal communication skillsStrong attention to detailStrong organizational skillsComputer skillsFramework / ECM software knowledge a plus Shift: Per Diem / PRN EEO Statement, SpecialtyRx, Inc. is fully committed to employing a diverse workforce.
