Job Description

Perform on demand and preventative maintenance repairs for all guest rooms, kitchen areas and public areas at Chula Vista including the adjacent employee housing buildings. Reports to Maintenance Manager. Repairs may include plumbing, furnishings and fixtures, painting, wall cover repairs, and carpentry. Respond to work orders as assigned in and complete them per SOP in property's digital work order system. Makes daily preventative maintenance inspections. Responsible for troubleshooting and repair of HVAC equipment, appliances, elevators, fire alarm system, door lock system, electrical and related systems. Respond and perform duties in a timely and efficient manner. Knowledge of safety requirements is a MUST- operate within OSHA standards and company safety policies at all times. Assist to oversee the property grounds, public areas, and hotel's guest rooms. Display a calm and attentive approach in solving problems and handling difficult situation, collecting information and sincerely helping to resolve them. Determine, communicate, and monitor personal and department achievements and performance standards on a daily basis. Physical Requirements: Lifting and carrying: The ability to lift or carry items of 50 pounds with or without reasonable accommodations. Climbing: The ability to climb ladders, scaffolds, or stairs Working in confined spaces: The ability to work in spaces like trenches, pits, manholes, attics, and tunnels Responding to sounds: The ability to respond quickly to sounds Working in environmental conditions: The ability to work in cold and hot environments, on concrete floors, or in noisy environments Wearing personal protective gear: The ability to wear personal protective gear for most of the day Manual dexterity: The ability to use fine motor abilities for detailed tasks, such as handling small or delicate objects Balance and coordination: The ability to ensure stability during task performance, such as executing precise movements Hearing: The ability to hear, understand, and distinguish speech and/or other sounds Vision: The ability to see clearly at approximately 20 inches or less (near visual acuity) and at 20 feet or more (far visual acuity)
