Job Description Join the Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) team and take on the exciting opportunity to design and manage a comprehensive array of large-scale, integrated cloud services within a diverse, multi-tenant environment. We are seeking outstanding engineers who are passionate about security and cloud technologies to become part of our OCI Security Data Platform team. The ideal candidate will be an innovative self-starter prepared to undertake a high-level individual contributor or tech lead role, driving the development and deployment of large-scale services. Collaboration with cross-functional teams-comprising machine learning scientists, Oracle Labs researchers, and engineers-will be essential to create and operate extensive cloud services that utilize advanced machine learning and statistical models to identify and mitigate cyber-threats. Responsibilities Design and develop full-stack, cloud-based web service solutions with a strong emphasis on scalability, reliability, and availability. Transform machine learning models and workflows for effective deployment on cloud infrastructures. Collaborate with research and engineering teams to deliver complex, large-scale projects. Demonstrate initiative and enthusiasm while tackling challenging problems through innovative solutions. Qualifications 8+ years of experience in designing, developing, and operating large-scale distributed systems. Expertise in programming languages such as Java or C#/C++, along with proficiency in scripting languages like Python. Experience in designing, implementing, and managing highly scalable, available, and reliable distributed services or systems. Familiarity with relational and non-relational (NoSQL) databases. Knowledge of Big Data tools and pipelines, including Hadoop (Pig, Hive), Spark, or other Big Data systems. Understanding of data scalability challenges and their effects on the performance of trained ML models. Experience in productizing machine learning workflows is a plus. Strong communication skills and the ability to excel in a collaborative environment. Exceptional critical thinking and problem-solving skills. BS, MS, or PhD in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent experience. Additional Responsibilities Lead the planning, design, and development of security systems, applications, environments, and architectures, ensuring compliance with information security standards and corporate policies. Provide technical guidance for secure architecture design and development. Participate in an incident management team, utilizing advanced skills to respond to security incidents in line with Oracle's incident response protocols. Investigate potential intrusions and breaches, conducting root cause analyses and coordinating incidents across different business units. Develop effective methods and playbooks for incident management, create sophisticated scripts, applications, and tools, and provide training on their usage. Evaluate existing and proposed technical architectures for security risks, recommending appropriate security controls. Conduct in-depth research and analysis of information security threats and vulnerabilities, leveraging programming and scripting knowledge as required. Work closely with senior management to design and implement a multi-year security roadmap. Focus on both operational and strategic tasks, offering mentorship to junior-level security operations engineers.
