We've been waiting 190 years for you! Ensign-Bickford Industries (EBI) is seeking a motivated, curious, and people-focused Human Resources Intern to join our Corporate HR team for a 12-week, hands-on summer internship. This is not a "shadow and observe" role - you will contribute to meaningful HR initiatives that support our people, our leaders, and our business. As an HR Intern, you'll gain exposure across core HR functions while working closely with an HR Generalist on projects tied to internship program development, employee engagement, workforce data, and HR systems. You'll collaborate with business partners across EBI and see how HR operates as a strategic function within a complex, multi-business organization. This position is located in downtown Denver, CO. Key Responsibilities & Learning Opportunities Internship Program & University Relations Support the planning and execution of EBI's internship program, including onboarding, intern engagement activities, and program improvements Partner with HR and hiring managers to enhance the intern experience from start to finish HR Operations & Systems (Workday) Learn how HR systems support reporting, compliance, and workforce decisions Support basic HR reporting and data validation activities Engagement, Retention & Workforce Insights Support HR initiatives focused on employee experience, retention, and continuous improvement Help translate data into insights that inform HR priorities HR Programs & Projects Support employee engagement initiatives, coordination, and HR communications Participate in cross-functional HR projects that align with business needs Provide general HR project and administrative support as needed Throughout the internship, you'll work with your manager to define specific project goals and complete at least one end-to-end HR project you can showcase professionally. What We're Looking For Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, or a related field (Rising Juniors or Seniors preferred) Strong interest in Human Resources as a career path Organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities Comfortable handling confidential information with discretion Strong written and verbal communication skills Self-starter mindset with curiosity and willingness to learn Proficiency in Microsoft Office; familiarity with Workday or HR systems is a plus What This Internship Offers Real-world HR experience with ownership of meaningful work - not just observation Exposure to HR operations, systems, engagement, and strategic initiatives Mentorship from experienced HR professionals and access to leaders across the organization Opportunities to build business acumen and professional confidence Networking with interns and professionals across EBI Compensation & Benefits Pay range: $19-$22/hour (based on education level) Housing provided or housing stipend Travel stipend for interns located more than 50 miles from the office Ensign-Bickford Industries, Inc. is an Equal Opportunity Employer (EOE).
