Job Description Summary Are you passionate about shaping pricing strategies and managing risks in the electrical power sector? As the Electrical Power Pricing and Risk Leader, you will play a crucial role in driving success by developing compelling proposals that prioritize Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost objectives. Collaborating with cross-functional teams, including Program Management, Sales, Engineering, Supply Chain, Finance, and Legal, you will ensure disciplined margin protection and a competitive edge in the market. Key Responsibilities Pricing Strategy and Deal Modeling: Own the pricing strategy by building effective deal models and conducting price-to-win analyses for electrical power products, systems, and services. Develop pricing structures that are compliant and align with both customer needs and business goals. Risk and Opportunity Management: Conduct comprehensive risk assessments that quantify technical, schedule, commercial, and regulatory impacts. Maintain a proactive risk/opportunity register for each deal and implement scenario modeling to drive effective pricing and contingency recommendations. Proposal Leadership: Lead the pricing workstream for RFPs/RFQs, ensuring clear and timely deliverables from kickoff through submission. Prepare and present pricing packages for leadership reviews while engaging with Contracts/Legal to ensure alignment on terms and conditions. Analytics and Continuous Improvement: Establish and maintain robust pricing databases and parametric models for Electrical Power offerings. Champion lessons learned and automation initiatives to enhance quote quality and reduce turnaround time. Stakeholder Engagement: Act as the key commercial point for pricing discussions and risk clarifications with partners and customers. Collaborate with capture leads to develop compelling value propositions and support negotiations with strategic insights and options. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Finance, Economics, or a related field; an advanced degree or MBA is preferred. 6+ years of experience in pricing, cost engineering, or proposal management, particularly in aerospace, defense, or complex industrial contexts. Desired Characteristics Proven ability to build complex financial models and lead risk assessments on high-value proposals. Strong knowledge of various pricing structures and commercial risk management, with a background in negotiation support. Proficiency in financial modeling tools, particularly Excel, along with an understanding of parametric modeling. Excellent communication skills and executive presence that enables you to present complex analyses simply and effectively. Able to thrive in fast-paced environments, collaborating across diverse teams to achieve objectives. Familiarity with electrical power systems or avionics is a plus. Understanding of acquisition processes, including compliance with government regulations. Experience with continuous improvement practices and automation in pricing processes. Strong stakeholder management and influence skills, demonstrating a proactive approach under pressure. The base pay range for this position is $137,000.00 - $183,000.00 USD annually. The specific salary offered may vary based on qualifications and experience. This position is eligible for an annual discretionary bonus based on base salary percentage.
