Automotive Parts Specialist

Compensation Pay Range: $10.70 - $16.70. The actual hourly rate will meet or exceed the applicable minimum wage for the role. Additional compensation may include annual or quarterly performance bonuses, as well as other premiums based on various factors including schedule and work performed. The Automotive Parts Specialist is dedicated to providing exceptional service to both retail and installer customers while supporting store management to meet specific objectives. Bilingual candidates are highly encouraged to apply. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS Promote and follow company customer service initiatives like Hi-5 and the Low Price Guarantee. Warmly greet and assist retail customers in selecting products that cater to their needs. Assist managers and installer service specialists in servicing professional customers as guided. Complete relevant company training for the position to enhance skills and knowledge. Provide exceptional customer service over the phone by adhering to company protocols and accurately quoting parts and prices. Accurately maintain and manage the cash drawer, processing transactions and providing change as needed. Handle exchanges and returns in line with company policies and maintain a positive demeanor. Effectively resolve customer complaints in a friendly manner. Help maintain a clean and organized store environment through stocking and cleaning tasks. Efficiently process merchandise returns and assist with tracking inventory. Operate store equipment after completing necessary training. Perform in-store services for customers in compliance with local regulations, including battery testing and headlight replacements. Drive a delivery vehicle when required, ensuring a valid driving record. Fulfill other tasks as assigned to support store operations. SKILLS/EDUCATION/KNOWLEDGE/EXPERIENCE/ABILITIES Required: Strong ability to quickly match alphanumeric sequences. Exceptional customer service skills that foster positive interactions. Proficiency in multitasking, effectively managing both phone and in-store customer interactions. Desired: Knowledge of automotive parts, cataloging, and automotive sales or services. ASE certification is a plus. Fluency in multiple languages, particularly Spanish, is preferred.
