The Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Manager will oversee clinical operations, staff development, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to promote a culture of excellence in mental health care. Job specification Candidate requirements Job specification Oversee the daily operations of the adult behavioral health unit, including staffing, scheduling, and productivity management. Assist with daily monitoring of patient care quality and ensure adherence to safety and infection control protocols. Provide ongoing staff education, including initial training and annual competencies. Provide backup for the Program Director, ensure patient care aligns with the program's mission, assess, and manage patient care, address unresolved issues with the Director of Nursing, and follow all hospital policies. Candidate requirements Active RN license (Virginia or eligibility to obtain). BSN or MSN strongly preferred; equivalent experience may be considered. Minimum of 3-5 years of behavioral health leadership experience in an acute care setting. Must obtain Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) and Nonviolent Crisis Intervention certification within 30 days of employment. Why work with us?
