Salary: $19.98 Hourly Location : Delray Beach, FL Job Type: Full Time Job Number: 00155 Department: OPERATIONS Division: MAINT-SC-Utility (ATU) Opening Date: 03/11/2025 JOB DESCRIPTION Palm Tran is looking for a Utility Worker; this employee must be able to satisfactorily perform any type of service labor such as, but not limited to, hoisting, gassing, lubricating, and cleaning such as shops, vehicles, equipment, or units thereof as may be assigned by employer for service, including the maintenance of building and grounds. Incumbents in this entry-level job classification clean and service Palm Tran coaches, vehicles and related service areas; incumbents in this classification do not supervise others, but may provide direction to new employees on task and function. ENVIRONMENTAL/ ATMOSPHERIC CONDITIONS: Exposure to extreme noise when interfacing within the shop. Decibel range of 85+ duration on an occasional level. Exposure to fumes/odors and chemical hazards when out in the field or shop. Subject to all weather conditions. QUALIFICATIONS Graduation from high school or an equivalent recognized certification/GED; Valid Class E Driver's License. Individuals who are hired with Class E Driver's License will be provided paid training. (Must include a copy of your current driver's license with application). Six (6) months of related work experience in a position successfully performing janitorial and/or industrial cleaning duties or a position responsible for the cleaning, maintenance and/or servicing of a variety of vehicles. Ability to lift 50 lbs. PREFERENCES Valid Commerical Driver's License (CDL) Class A or B with Passenger (P) endorsement OR CDL Learner's Permit with Passenger (P) endorsement. Recent experience (within the past five years) operating a transit bus, twenty-two (22) + passenger bus, or heavy equipment. (Must specify on application.)
