IT Software Engineer 3 - Senior SDET - Full Stack

Education & Experience Required: Degree required 6+ years' experience in this capacity of SDET automation engineer Role Overview We are seeking a highly experienced, hands-on Senior Automation Test Engineer to join a globally distributed team supporting a flagship CAD Digital web-based platform. This is a senior individual contributor role focused heavily on UI automation while also supporting API automation initiatives. The platform is large and rapidly growing, with multiple Scrum teams owning different modules and significant cross-team integration points. The ideal candidate will be deeply technical, proactive, and capable of driving automation strategy and framework improvements. Key Responsibilities Design and implement advanced automation solutions Develop Proof of Concepts (PoCs) for new tools, frameworks, and technologies Improve, refactor, and scale existing automation frameworks Drive continuous QA and automation maturity improvements Perform hands-on UI and API testing Support other Scrum teams during resource gaps when needed Act as a self-sufficient senior contributor with strong ownership Required Technical Skills Frontend Automation (Primary Focus) Strong hands-on experience with Cypress (primary framework) Experience with Playwright Proficiency in TypeScript Solid understanding of web technologies: HTML, JavaScript, CSS Experience with BDD frameworks (Cucumber/Gherkin) Backend / API Automation Strong experience in REST API testing Hands-on experience with Java-based API automation frameworks (Rest Assured, Spring Boot) Experience with Postman, Swagger CI/CD integration experience Additional Technical Competencies Experience designing and maintaining automation frameworks Strong automation strategy and solutioning capability Experience evaluating and introducing new automation tools SQL skills for backend validation Experience with integration and full-stack testing Familiarity with DevOps tools (Azure DevOps, Jenkins, Git) Experience with load/performance testing is a plus Experience with API gateways (e.g., Apigee) is a plus Experience & Candidate Profile Leadership-only or managerial profiles are not suitable Lead/QA Architect profiles considered only if actively hands-on Experience across multiple projects is mandatory Industry/domain background is not required Bachelor's degree in Software/Engineering preferred (equivalent experience accepted) Soft Skills Strong communication and stakeholder management skills Ability to collaborate across global teams and time zones Adaptable in complex, fast-evolving environments Proactive, solution-oriented mindset Strong collaboration with developers and business stakeholders Note: Strong emphasis on real-world, hands-on automation expertise.
