Ophthalmic Technician 2

Benefits include: medical, dental, vision, 401(k) match, and generous PTO. The Opportunity We're hiring a fully trained Ophthalmic Technician 2 with 2+ years of refracting experience. You'll handle pre-exam workups, patient history, and diagnostic testing-playing a key role in patient care and supporting our physicians in diagnosing and treating eye conditions. What You'll Do Perform vision testing: distance/near acuity, peripheral vision, depth & color perception Apply anesthetic, dilating, and medicated drops Collect/process specimens Triage urgent cases and maintain clinic flow Prep rooms and assist physicians during procedures Perform basic equipment maintenance Follow infection-control and confidentiality standards What You'll Need Ability to work across all specialties and perform all ancillary tasks Minimum 2 years refracting experience Excellent verbal and written communication Patient-focused, outgoing, and service-oriented Calm, dependable problem-solver Positive attitude; strong team player Flexible and comfortable with change Ocular pharmacology knowledge is a plus, not required Ability to stand/walk frequently and lift up to 10 lbs Who We Are We're a leading eye-care organization with nearly 1,400 employees, 50+ clinics, 5 surgery centers, and 110+ providers, offering comprehensive ocular, oculoplastic, and retinal care from childhood through adulthood.
