Req ID: 129655 Region: Americas Country: USA State/Province: Arizona City: Tucson General Overview Functional Area: Operations (OPS) Career Stream: Production (OPS_PRD) Role: Production 6 Job Title: Production Cell Leader 6 Job Code: PD6-OPS-CELL Job Level: Level 06 Direct/Indirect Indicator: Direct Summary As a key member of our production team, you will report to the site Operations Manager and provide vital leadership to a team focused on production excellence. This position requires hands-on involvement in supervising and developing employees while executing effective manufacturing processes. Key responsibilities include managing daily operations, ensuring quality and productivity, and fostering a positive work environment. Your leadership will directly influence our ability to meet operational goals, maintain production schedules, and enhance team performance. Detailed Description Receive and manage daily production schedules and material logistics to meet production targets efficiently. Coordinate resources including materials and personnel to ensure on-time delivery of quality products within budget. Identify obstacles in the production process and work proactively to resolve them. Take ownership of the manufacturing area, communicate effectively with stakeholders, and align cross-functional efforts with customer needs. Supervise a diverse team of 10 or more employees, overseeing performance, attendance, and any arising issues. Manage controllable operating expenses such as scrap and consumables while guiding teams in continuous process improvements. Conduct return-to-work interviews and manage initial disciplinary actions with professionalism. Occasionally operate at a technician level to assist with hands-on work as needed. Perform other related duties as assigned to ensure smooth operations. Knowledge/Skills/Competencies Understanding of production processes and the tools/equipment involved. Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with cross-functional teams. Insight into how decisions affect customer satisfaction, product quality, and profitability. Ability to manage a variety of resources for meeting production metrics. Familiarity with ISO/AS9100 Standards and Continuous Improvement Initiatives. Strong leadership and motivational abilities to drive high production levels in a fast-paced environment. Proficient in Google Suite, Microsoft Office applications, and familiarity with SAP is preferred. Physical Demands This role is performed in a manufacturing environment with exposure to noise, dust, chemicals, and varying temperatures. Tasks may require sustained visual concentration on data or computer screens. All responsibilities must be performed following local Health and Safety guidelines. Typical Experience Minimum of 5 years of supervisory experience managing a team of at least 10 individuals. 5+ years of experience in manufacturing, preferably within the Aerospace and Defense industry. Typical Education Bachelor's degree in a related field, or equivalent experience (5+ years in electronics manufacturing and supervisory role may be considered in lieu of a degree).
