Position Summary: Join our team as a dedicated Relief Pharmacist, where you will have the opportunity to make a significant impact in customer care and pharmacy operations. Additionally, you will support the pharmacy manager in supervising and training pharmacy associates. Essential Job Functions: Provide pharmacist coverage in various store locations as needed. Engage in special projects as directed by the Director of Pharmacy or Pharmacy Operations Managers. Offer relief pharmacy coverage in both routine and emergency scenarios. Deliver exceptional customer service, ensuring customers feel valued and appreciated. Administer immunizations in accordance with established guidelines. Conduct clinical services tailored to relevant case loads. Accurately dispense or compound medications while complying with laws and ethical standards. Thoroughly review and verify prescriptions issued by healthcare providers. Supervise pharmacy technicians and interns to ensure accuracy in prescription preparation. Evaluate medications for potential drug interactions prior to filling prescriptions. Collaborate with the pharmacy team to maintain optimal inventory levels and manage recalls. Adhere to all licensing requirements on state and federal levels. Follow established protocols for quality assurance and security of controlled substances. Communicate relevant programs and changes that may impact the pharmacy team. Uphold legal and ethical standards, including HIPAA compliance. Promote teamwork and respect within the pharmacy environment. Maintain precise records and documentation relating to pharmacy operations. Maximize financial performance through efficient inventory and sales management. Address customer complaints with professionalism and attentiveness. Foster a positive shopping experience to enhance the pharmacy's reputation. Adhere to company procedures regarding transactions and payment processing. Keep the pharmacy environment clean and organized. Behaviors/Skills: Collaborate effectively with team members, respecting diverse ideas and holding each other accountable.
