Interested in this position, please e-mail your resume in a word document or PDF to This NVH engineer is accountable for the analysis and modeling of vehicle vibrations and sounds, including harshness for suspension, tire, intake & exhaust systems, powertrains, passenger vehicle interiors, and contributes to the safe and quiet operation of an automotive passenger vehicle. Duties & Responsibilities: Conduct experimental studies of mechanical dynamics and acoustics in vehicle development. Construct models and evaluate vehicle and powertrain system concepts. Analyze subjectively and objectively vehicle NVH characteristics, and develop metrics to correlate the two. Interface closely with Controls and Test teams. Add to the production of creative ideas and the development of project plans. Utilize FEA to evaluate all aspects of NVH that relate to smooth, safe, and quiet operation of a passenger vehicle. Education & Experience Requirements: M.S. in pertinent engineering discipline, B.S. plus similar work experience, or equivalent technical background. Depth of comprehension in engine, driveline, and vehicle noise and vibration simulation methods, as well as experimental procedures, equipment and software. Fluent in both time and frequency domain representations of systems. Experience utilizing simulation tools. Background in noise and vibration data analysis tools, including FEA. Systematic approach toward engineering development. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to influence technical direction. Proven team orientation and project management skills.
