Student Worker - Non Clinical - Temporary

This is a paid internship within the UPMC Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh's Foundation. Minimal local travel may be required and will be accompanied by staff of the Foundation. Hours: Approx. 35 hours/week from May through mid-August. This is primarily a weekday job, with the option to work the Annual Walk for Children's on Saturday June 6th. UPMC Children's Hospital Foundation student program offers the opportunity to gain an understanding of the various functions of a robust fundraising and development workplace including donor prospecting and retention strategies, events planning, non-profit writing, patient family coordination, and donor stewardship among others. Students will work on a specific project or projects, while also being exposed to the various departments within the Foundation and their responsibilities. Our program offers a stepping stone into the world of nonprofit fundraising and provides critical hands-on training and experience for students who seek to enter the field, helping to develop the next generation of development and nonprofit professionals. High School Diploma College student in either Junior or Senior year strongly preferred Must not be pursuing an internship for credit.
