Snapshot / Role Overview We're seeking a Commercial Electrician Service Technician in the New Orleans Metro area to provide electrical service, maintenance, and troubleshooting for commercial facilities. Impact Maintain uptime for commercial clients by quickly diagnosing and repairing electrical system failures Deliver professional service that builds long-term client relationships and generates repeat business Support energy efficiency initiatives through lighting retrofits and electrical system upgrades Ensure electrical safety compliance through proper installation and maintenance practices Responsibilities Troubleshoot and repair electrical systems in commercial buildings including lighting, power distribution, and controls Perform preventive maintenance on electrical equipment and systems per service contracts Install and upgrade electrical components including panels, transformers, and distribution equipment Respond to emergency service calls and resolve electrical issues efficiently Test electrical systems using meters, testers, and diagnostic equipment Read and interpret electrical blueprints, schematics, and one-line diagrams Document service work performed and complete accurate service reports Maintain inventory of electrical supplies and equipment on service vehicle Requirements Must-Haves 5+ years of experience as a commercial electrician Valid Louisiana journeyman electrician license required Strong troubleshooting skills for electrical systems and equipment Experience with 480V 3-phase power systems and distribution equipment Valid driver's license with clean driving record OSHA 10 certification Nice-to-Haves Experience with building automation systems and lighting controls Knowledge of generator systems and automatic transfer switches Low voltage and fire alarm experience Compensation & Logistics Competitive salary depending on experience; benefits include health insurance, dental and vision coverage, 401(k) with company match, paid time off, holidays, and company vehicle.
