Title: CNC Lathe Set-Up/Operator Shift: 2nd Shift: Monday – Thursday, 3:30 PM – 1:00 AM Salary: $24.00 – $35.00 per hour Who we are: We are a premier global manufacturing organization that serves critical industrial sectors, including power generation and chemical processing, across more than 120 countries. CNC Lathe Set-Up/Operator Role: This role is responsible for the setup, operation, and program editing of multi-axis CNC horizontal and vertical machining centers to produce parts to precise specifications. The position exists to ensure efficient production flow and high-quality output within the machining work cell. CNC Lathe Set-Up/Operator Responsibilities: Set up and operate multi-axis CNC machining and turning centers under the direction of a supervisor Select required cutting tools, tool grades, and proper speeds and feeds from programming documents Interpret blueprints and technical schematics to complete production requirements Inspect all manufactured parts and perform quality-related statistical analysis Perform routine preventative maintenance including checking oil and coolant levels Comply with all safety procedures and utilize required protective equipment Communicate effectively with all levels of employees and team peers Maintain a clean and orderly work area according to quality standards CNC Lathe Set-Up/Operator Reporting Relationships: The candidate reports to the Production Supervisor and will not have any direct reports. About You: Possess a High School Diploma or GED Demonstrate one to three years of related CNC machining experience Have strong setup experience specifically with Mazak machines Read and follow verbal instructions in Standard English Use basic mathematics including geometry and trigonometry Supply personal hand tools and toolboxes Lift or move up to 50 pounds regularly Stand for long periods and navigate a manufacturing floor environment Next Steps: If you are a skilled machinist with strong setup experience, we would like to hear from you.
