Overview: The MEP Project Superintendent is crucial in ensuring the efficient scheduling, management, and coordination of subcontractors, construction trades, and labor crews. The goal is to promote unity and ensure quality and construction progress according to the project Master Schedule. The ideal candidate will have substantial construction experience as a Superintendent, a track record of successfully leading, teaching, and mentoring teams, and the capability to thoroughly understand and follow plans, project specifications, design documents, code requirements, and other related construction activities. Location & Travel Details: This is a traveling role that may require up to 100% travel throughout the United States. You could be assigned to various project sites across states such as NC, VA, GA, TX, FL, IA, and WY, with the average project duration being 6-8 months. If eligible, we offer designated daily per diem in addition to base pay to support living expenses, along with relocation assistance and a vehicle allowance. Eligible candidates will have the opportunity for a travel home rotation one weekend per month away from the job site. Responsibilities: Manage permit document administration and oversight. Review and fully understand subcontractor scopes of work. Facilitate safety meetings and uphold project safety standards. Control access and manage traffic on the project site. Oversee tool and equipment inventory, coordination, and rentals. Schedule, coordinate, and maintain records of all project testing and certifications, including concrete and soil testing. Engage daily with the Project Manager (PM), Project Coordinator Management (PCM), and Project Field Engineer (PFE) on project progress and subcontractor performance. Prepare a 3-week look-ahead schedule and update the master schedule with the PCM. Complete daily log reports and maintain as-built drawings for final submission. Organize and schedule project inspections, ensuring proper closeout documentation. Maintain quality control of all installed materials and equipment. Establish site layout and manage benchmarks. Qualifications: A Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field, or a minimum of 10+ years of experience without a degree. At least 5 years of experience overseeing MEP scope of work on new ground-up construction projects. Prior experience managing data center projects is required. Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: Proficient in project scheduling, planning, and document control. Exceptional communication and organizational skills, especially in managing subcontractors and inspectors. OSHA Certification with in-depth knowledge of OSHA safety standards. Experience with software such as Microsoft Office Suite, scheduling programs, and document management systems. Candidates with the following skills and experiences may receive greater consideration: 10+ years of experience as a construction Superintendent. Familiarity with Microsoft Project or Primavera (P6). Experience in managing projects exceeding $20 million. Bilingual proficiency (English/Spanish). Willingness to travel across the U.S. Compensation & Benefits: Competitive salary ranging from $120,000 to $140,000+/year based on experience.
