Job Summary The Health Research and Analytics (HRA) business line is looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Physical Therapist (PT) to support our mission in advancing the Preservation of the Forces and Family (POTFF) program for the U.S. Special Operations Command. This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to initiatives that ensure the mission readiness, longevity, and performance of Special Operations Forces (SOF) and their families. As a PT, your role will not only involve providing direct care but also participating in impactful research and analytics that enhance the effectiveness of vital programs. Your contributions will include evaluating, treating, and rehabilitating musculoskeletal conditions for SOF personnel. In this role, you will collaborate with the Human Performance (HP) and POTFF teams and provide leadership in injury prevention, rehabilitation, and program administration. You will ensure safe and effective patient care and actively participate in the continuous improvement of the HP program. Key Responsibilities Evaluate, treat, and rehabilitate musculoskeletal conditions for SOF personnel. Provide services as a licensed independent practitioner, including ordering imaging studies and laboratory tests, with proper documentation. Supervise support staff within their scope of practice. Engage in regular meetings with HP and POTFF to discuss patient care and areas for improvement. Advise on injury prevention, Sports Medicine practices, and rehabilitation efforts. Collaborate on administrative tasks such as purchasing and fiscal planning. Review equipment, products, and relevant literature to keep the HP program up to date. Participate in the development of clinical practice guidelines and job descriptions to ensure consistency of care. Conduct training for HP staff to promote best practices in patient care. Document patient care in electronic health records as required. Key Qualifications Master's degree in physical therapy. Certification as an Orthopedic Certified Specialist (OCS) or Sports Certified Specialist (SCS). Five years or more of relevant experience in manual therapy in sports medicine settings. Active, unrestricted PT license in a U.S. state or territory. Ability to meet physical demands of the role, including lifting up to 25 kilograms. Current Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification. Ability to obtain a U.S. government security clearance. Preferred Qualifications Doctoral degree in physical therapy. Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) certification. Experience working with NCAA Division I, Olympic, or professional athletes.
