Job Summary: The Field Service Technician (Certified Level 2) plays a vital role in performing electrical inspections, tests, and measurements while ensuring thorough data collection. This position requires the ability to set up and remove test equipment, conduct critical acceptance and maintenance testing, and maintain a tidy work environment. The technician will work with limited supervision and must be knowledgeable about hazardous electrical energy procedures. Supervisory Responsibilities: Co-lead projects alongside team members, sharing responsibilities with lead technicians to ensure project success from initiation to final reporting to the client. Duties/Responsibilities: Acceptance and Maintenance Electrical Testing Conduct acceptance and maintenance electrical testing with minimal supervision. Test de-energized locked out/tagged out equipment. Accurately collect and record test data. Test Equipment Assist with setting up and removing test equipment for various testing activities. Handle and store equipment appropriately. Maintain cleanliness of test equipment and work areas. Ensure tools and equipment are in good working condition. Report Writing Create detailed reports outlining test results and findings. Ensure reports are accurate and submitted promptly. Basic Measurements Perform basic electrical measurements under the supervision of senior technicians. Accurately record and report measurement data. Additional responsibilities and tasks may be assigned to support organizational goals and adapt to changing business needs. Attributes/Abilities: Satisfactory background/MVR check required. Must pass pre-employment, post-accident, reasonable suspicion, and/or random drug tests. Reliable transportation and valid driver's license are required. Basic understanding of electrical theory. Proficiency in Microsoft Office. Strong interpersonal and customer service skills. Exemplary verbal and written communication skills. Ability to prioritize tasks with exceptional attention to detail. Experience and Education: High school diploma/GED required; Associate's degree from an accredited 2-year technical college or trade school preferred. NETA certification level 2 preferred. 2+ years of relevant experience. OSHA 30-hour, MSHA, NFPA 70-E, CPR/First Aid/BBP/AED, and Power DB training are beneficial. Physical Requirements: Ability to travel up to 50% of the time. Willingness to work occasional overtime as needed. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds. Must wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) including arc-flash suit, safety glasses, hard hat, respirator, hearing protection, and steel-toed boots. Ability to walk, stand, climb, pull, push, sit, and work in cramped or confined spaces. Potential exposure to varied conditions, including dirt, heat, fumes, smoke, water, noise, vibration, grease, oil, and dust.
